Evenings together
In addition to the Bible studies and revival meetings we arrange, we come together to Evenings together regularly and actively.
These Evenings together are, along with the Bible studies, an essential form of the edification of the church.
The teaching of the Bible has an essential role in these meetings, as it does in all our meetings and events. We study and research the Bible from one to four times during the evening. Between the lessons, we spend time together and pray until we soon continue to study the Bible.
"Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord" (Col. 3:16).
The teaching subjects for the evenings are often connected. The next Evening together continues from where the previous one ended. The subjects addressed are connected in different ways to what has been or will be addressed in the Bible studies later.
The content and the implementation of the evenings vary. Places, days of the week, starting times, and durations will be decided case by case. We will act in accordance with what is constructive at each time.
Currently, Evenings together are held once a week on average. The evenings are held in Tampere and outside of Tampere, both outdoors and indoors.
Evenings together have been found as a source of nourishment, an oasis in the middle of everyday life, evenings which are awaited rejoicing, and where the heart that longs for the Lord will be nourished and filled by the Lord.
"I have rejoiced in the way of thy testimonies, as much as in all riches. I will meditate in thy precepts, and have respect unto thy ways. I will delight myself in thy statutes: I will not forget thy word" (Ps. 119:14-16).
"Thy testimonies also are my delight and my counsellors" (Ps. 119:24).
Evenings together are informed of in the meetings and events of the church.
